Acts 17:26

26 From one man he made every nation of men,
that they should inhabit the whole earth;
and he determined the times set for them
and the exact places where they should live. (NIV Bible)

God is the creator of the whole universe – everything in it – and the  creator of you and me.

He has a plan for you and me.

He created us so that he could live this life with us.

We don’t need to battle through it alone.  We don’t need to be anxious – desperately trying to figure things out on our own.  Everyday, we are bombarded with choices to make. We are overwhelmed by the pressure to perform – nothing comes easy anymore. And we are distracted by – if not controlled by – the presence of technology.

The world is certainly a very different place to what it was a hundred years ago!

But God is still God.

He knew in which time, in which period we would live.

He knows (and chose) the exact place where we would live.

Yes, most of us drift on and off from the perfect path that God has drafted for our lives.  But he knew all of that too.  And he has not grown weary of it.  He has not yet and never will give up in despair.

He continues to be beside us. He longs for us to turn our gaze to him so that he can once again pull us into His embrace.  So that He can fill us with His love. So that he can gently take our chin and turn our faces towards His perfect plan again.  That plan which he created us to fulfill.

Psalm 139

You have searched me, Lord,
    and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise;
    you perceive my thoughts from afar.
You discern my going out and my lying down;
    you are familiar with all my ways.
Before a word is on my tongue
    you, Lord, know it completely.
You hem me in behind and before,
    and you lay your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
    too lofty for me to attain.

We are at that stage where we are beginning the application process for Primary School for our twins. I have heard from most of the moms that this can be an incredibly stressful experience.  One mom applied at 10 different schools before getting into one.

But I am going to trust God in this.  I am not going to rush around and panic.  The Lord knows exactly where He wants our girls to go to school.  He has planned exactly who they will be friends with.  I just need to ‘be still and know that He is God.’  I need to follow my heart, because God lives in my heart, and trust that I am applying at the right schools.  And then I need to trust that God will do the rest.  That His will shall be done. I need to graciously accept that His plan is better than my plan. That His plan is perfect.
