‘Life, Love and Miracles’ are a beautiful trio that I would use when describing my spiritual journey. Because … Real Life is often more bizarre or more beautiful or more broken than any well-written novel could ever be. Love is the all-powerful emotion that heals hearts, restores hope and harbors happiness.  God is the very origin of Love.  The personification of Love.  God is Love. Miracles are happening all around us, every day.  People pray and people see God move.  People are continually being blown away by Gods goodness. about Because … I want you to be blown away too!  I want you to discover your purpose and passion for life.  I want you to be surprised by Gods love.  And I want you to be amazed by the myriad of modern day miracles that are happening all around you. Because … This is what makes me come alive.  This is what makes me want to explode with passion and purpose.  Sharing the realness yet greatness of God.  Exploring the casual yet intimate depths of Gods Love. Being real. Sharing Gods Love Growing in Faith These three statements are the foundation, the support and the very reason for this ongoing conversation. These are the three pillars that will uphold this blog.

About the blog

Why another Blog? Well, because I just cant sit on this passion inside of me any longer. I have to let it out.  I have to write about how I, and so many others, have been inspired, touched and transformed by God.  He is alive and well and doing so much in ordinary peoples lives that when you read about the different journeys and adventures, miracles and wonders, it will be difficult not to get on board to start seeing the extraordinary-ness of God in your own life. …. These are the stories we all need to hear and the stories I really want to tell. Where the journey began … So let me start right at the beginning.  I was brought up in what one would call a ‘nominal’ Christian family where church was pretty much a Sunday culture and not much else happened on the God front – except of course, prayers at night. My faith did however become very real at the young age of 4 when I met my bff (best friend forever) at playschool and we become inseparable overnight.  Her family just loved Jesus in the most down-to-earth and natural way and their relationship with Him was so sincere that I could not help but desire such a personal relationship with Jesus myself. I was 8 years old when I asked Jesus into my heart.  I can remember the moment as if it happened just yesterday, and I can only describe my experience as having had a tangible encounter with Jesus.  I remember the feeling of floating up to the sky and meeting Jesus in the clouds – I do realize that my childish and very creative imagination could have had a lot to do with this impression but it has stayed with me all the years and has always made me feel especially loved and rather favoured.  (Although I do know that each and every one of us is equally precious in His sight) Since that first moment, my relationship with God has been one of nearness and distance, of obedience and rebellion but during this journey, I have had more than a handful of life-changing moments.  Moments that have left me without a shadow of a doubt, that there is a God who intimately loves us and ultimately want us to know him and love him and to be in a daily living, walking, talking relationship with him. But this relationship is not meant to be lived alone. It is Gods design and desire that we share this journey with a community of believers. This christian community has had many different faces through the ages.  For 10 years, I belonged to a small Vineyard Church that was everything but mainstream.  We started meeting on Friday nights and later Sunday nights in coffee shops, restaurants and halls. In one way or another, we were all invited or even encouraged to bring something to each meeting whether it was a word or a scripture, a song or a dream. It was a time of euphoria for me, but it was not to last and the one thing that I took away with me was that no group or church or meeting is perfect.  No church or denomination is the answer, we all just form part of a community of believers. My hearts desire is to see us all unite. So from wherever you are in your journey and from where ever you fellowship, I would like to encourage us to share hope, life and love. Lets write about our miracles and our disappointments, our victories and our struggles. Lets unite in worship, prayer, in health and activity.  Lets share life! I am going to begin by posting a few stories of the radical things that God has done in my life.  These stories will later be included in a novel which which will form a part of this blog (my story, my stuff) but I hope that we can all inspired and encouraged by your stories too.

My great desire is that this blog is accessible to everyone, no matter where you are on your faith journey -  even if you are not yet on your faith journey.

It’s about giving you a glimpse of God and His incredible and unfailing love.  It’s about showing you more of him until eventually you start to ‘know’ him.

Because to know God, is to Love God.

Real love is ‘Knowing’.  As the knowing grows so the love expands to contain it.

PRAYER REQUESTS & QUESTIONS

We all have issues that we face;  some seem large and insurmountable, some leave us broken and grieving and some turn up the pressure to the point that we feel  that we are going to explode.  But  there is always hope, always light and always love …. And joy comes in the morning. Read more

PRAISE & WORSHIP

Worship is certainly one of my true passions.  And although there are many different expressions of worship, my favorite by far is music.  Being a drummer myself and having been strongly influenced by Christian Rock, I always enjoy the roundy ‘Praises’ but it is in the quiet ‘Worship’ where we truly come ‘heart to heart’ with God.
