Living in the Information Age

Living in the Information Age

A friend told me about a set of DVD’s that she acquired, which were published by ‘Good fight ministries’.  In essence they are about the establishment of the Emerging church and it’s founders, leaders and Icons, one of them being Bono.  As we...
When is ‘enough’ really ENOUGH

When is ‘enough’ really ENOUGH

We can’t control the world but we can control our world.
It’s all in the attitude.  We need to embrace an attitude of ‘enough’. We don’t need more and we probably have more than enough.
We also need to hold on onto the things of this world a lot more loosely.
We’ve go to get back to enjoying the simplicities of life.

Taking Back the World

Taking Back the World

‘It’s not about being able, it’s about being available’
By praying for people, those we know and even those we don’t, we are calling down God’s presence and protection and in effect, claiming territory for the Kingdom.
Prayer calls down God’s domain.
It’s like releasing ‘bubbles’ of light and hope into this dark world.

Be my Centre

Be my Centre

‘Joy doesn’t come from our circumstances, it comes from our God. Joy is in the Lord. Brokenness is in the world. As long as we are alive, both will coexist on earth.’
We need to acknowledge and grasp the difference between momentary happiness and deep-seated, god given joy.
We can have joy in all circumstances – even the worst circumstances. We are children of the most high God. We are loved by the most high God. If we centre ourselves on God,the joy of the Lord will come into that very centre and then emanate out into every other aspect of our lives.
Despite our circumstances, joy does come in the morning.

Choosing to Believe

Choosing to Believe

In this world, everyone chooses what they want to believe. Some choose to believe in God, some in other gods and some choose to believe in themselves. Still others choose to believe in nothing at all. But we all choose, and we all believe in something.
That is where faith comes in. Faith is choosing to believe in that which is not seen, but that which we hope for with all our heart.
We need to choose to believe that God is the creator of the universe and everything in it.
We need to choose to believe that God desires to have a personal relationship with us – all of us. It is us that choose to either enter into this relationship or who choose not to.
