God’s kindness knows no bounds. He is not a God of first chances only. He is a God of second and third and fourth and fifth and so on and so on goes his never ending grace.
It doesn’t matter if we mess up or if things get messed up around us. As long as we stay true to our relationship with Jesus and keep our eyes fixed on him, he will make a way where there seems to be no way.
It happened in the dead of the night, just after our daughter woke us for a toiled run. At 4am when I climbed back into bed I just could not get to sleep. So I began to pray, which is quite normal for me but this time, I was taken right into a ‘one on one’ with the ultimate Psychologist. It was totally unexpected. It was like the Lord saying to me ‘Ok, tell me what is bothering you? I am listening.’ And I just got to say it all – without any interruptions – without any judgements and at the same time I was getting a clear realization or understanding of the situation.
When we get that we are so brilliantly Glorious because we are as He is and we have been fashioned by His hand, then we will shake off the grubbiness – which is the unbelief about who we really are.
Then we will really SHINE!
‘The church is like his precious jewel. Each of us make up a different facet. Each carved by the creator. Each incomparable. Each reflecting a different facet of who God is. Together as a whole, a beautiful sight to behold.’
In the bible, there are over 270 names that are used for God, each name describing a different facet of his character and a different dimension of his love. He is so glorious and so enormous that one name could never begin to describe him.
But Yahweh is completely different. Yahweh is personal. Yahweh is ‘I AM WHO I AM’
Yahweh is our covenant keeping God.
Yahweh is the LORD of His people
And then Jesus Christ came to earth.
There is no doubt that we are living in a crazy world. The stress that children are faced with today is said to be equivalent to that which the captives experienced in the concentration camps during the World War. And if that is the level of our children’s stress, imagine the levels of the mommy stress as we desperately try to keep it all together.
The truth and reality of it is that we need to take time out and we to talk about the stuff that we are struggling with. But who we talk to is altogether going to reflect on the outcome.
