God created you to be completely unique.  He called you into a relationship with Him in a way that was entirely unique to you and He shows His love and faithfulness to you in a way that is completely different to anyone else.

That is why we all shine in our unique way and reveal Gods splendour, uniquely.

We are His creation and we are here to reveal His splendour.

Isaiah 61:3

“You will be an oak of righteousness, a planting for the Lord … For the display of his splendour”

We each have within us, exactly what it takes to display God’s splendour.  We do this by living a good and righteous life.  We don’t need to ‘speak’ out our faith at any and every possible turn – but we do need to live out our faith.  God’s love will be seen through the hugs we give, the smiles we so freely lavish on others and the every-day kindnesses we show, that impact the lives of those around us.

This is how we can display Gods splendour.  By the overflow if His love through us.

Displaying Gods splendour is the very opposite of living for ourselves.

It is the very opposite of ‘entitlement’

Entitlement is a bit of a buzz word right now.  Thesaurus gives these synonyms for the word ‘entitlement’ … right, power, prerogative, title, privilege, claim.

These are all nouns that describe a mindset that places one in higher esteem than another.  But God created us all unique and we are all equal in His sight.

The only one who is entitled, is God himself.  He has a right, a power, a prerogative, a privilege and a claim over our lives. Because He is the one who gave us life.

Ephesians 2:10

God has made us what we are, and in our union with Christ Jesus he has created us for a life of good deeds, which he has already prepared for us to do.

God gave us life through creation. And Jesus gave us life through His death on the cross.

“You will be an oak of righteousness, a planting for the Lord … For the display of his splendour”

Jesus came to the earth to heal you.  To set you free.  To restore you for His purpose – so that you will display his splendour.

God put you right where you are.  In your family. In your marriage. In your valley of decision.  He placed you there to let his splendour be seen.

So that your life will display his radiance.

In Jesus you have abundance of life, love, radiance, beauty, confidence, truth and victory.  You have all these things because of Christ within you.  Let it shine out of you.

No matter what your circumstances, let your life reflect Christ.

Let your life be a display of His splendour.
