I believe that there is absolutely nothing wrong with including ‘Father Christmas’ in your Christmas celebreations, the Easter Bunny in your Easter Festivies and ‘Trick or Treating’ in your Halloween parties. What is of utmost importance is that you and your family know and understand and celebrate that Christ is the center of them all.
The other day I headed out for a run on my own. I love this alone time – it is my time to pray to God, connect with God and hear from God. As I set out I prayed that the Lord would send an angel before me and behind me, to protect me from any danger. This is how I come to ‘run with angels’
The Lord has blessed us all with different gifts, according to his grace.
Each and every one of us has something different and unique to offer.
Giving of our time is giving away the most precious resource on this earth.
God is not our Genie in a bottle. And thank goodness because he is so much more than than!!! A genie only grants us three wishes (instant gratification for that exact time in our life …. oops for later on) God, is our loving father in heaven who stays ‘closer than a brother’ right throughout our whole lives and His blessings never run out.
So many of our battles go on in our heads. In a space that is completely private and kept mostly isolated because of our guilt or shame or maybe just embarrassment. The question is ‘Who do we go to when these battles become overwhelming?’
